What is StreaminG???

My  brother comes up to me and ask's: "Dude, can I please use the PC now? I GOTTA STREAM MEDIA LIVE OVER THE INTERNET! " In reply my words: "What in the world did you just say!? STREAM MEDIA? What's that? And how can you stream live media over the internet?"

Well,  I'm not the first person to ask this question. Factually, over the last couple of  years such questions have  become deadly common! What is Streaming? What does it mean to Stream  Media live? How do we stream live shows??? Etc..bla..bla.bla.bla!

MeaninG...

Alisha Asghar showing her pussy Alisha Ashgar in action download all Alisha Asghar hot videos and pictures here Alisha Asghar video naked The word "STREAM" actually means "a steady flow or a succession". Likewise "Streaming Media" refers to multimedia that is successively and constantly being presented to an end user or in other words being transfered to a system where it is constantly being viewed as it is being broadcasted. We can more accurately and specifically describe "live streaming" as grabbing of media and then broadcasting it over the  internet. Commonly streamed forms of multimedia include tv shows, music, movies, live shows, live concerts , live events etc.!

HistorY...

Around the 50's, 60's and 70's due to limitations in hardware and softwares, alongwith the extremely high costs of computers and their hardware was the sole reason why accessing different types of media wasn't much accessible on computer systems. During these 3 decades very less progress was made. Although things picked up pace around the 80's and the 90's when Personal Computers began to show up. These could display various types of media. But! the computer's and the networks were still nowhere near being suitable and powerful enough to be compatible  to Live Streaming Media. The late 90's and the early 00's saw the introduction of some world changing terms like "last mile", HTTP, TCP/IP and especially "The Internet".The  first ever live audio event was broadcasted by the "Real Networks"  in 1995! Since then there have been massive advancements in computers, hardwares and networks! Today PC's are powerful enough to host multiple streams simultaneously. The megabytes and gigabytes are quickly being replaced by terabytes which means more accessibility provided to streams.
Types of StreamS...

Basically, there are two types of streams.
1) Live Streams(or True Streams): This type of streaming involves the sending of media directly to the reciever without being saved to the hard disk or other storage medias.
2)Streams on Demand(or Progressive Streaming): In this type of streaming the media is saved as a file on the hard disk and is then accessed from that location rather then from the internet.

How is it DonE???

Broadband internet of atleast a speed of 2 or 2.5 Mb/s is required to stream live. You would also  be able to stream at speeds less than 2 Mb/s but that would lower the quality and speed of the live stream and would have uninvited interruptions in it. To stream in HD quality a broadband speed of atleast  9 Mb/s is required. When it comes to the requirements of the system then i would say that a processor of atleast 2.5 GHz is needed because live streaming involves MASSIVE cpu usage. If you try and stream in on inferior  processors ur system might crash and could  even go beyond repare! So be very careful with that! Remember! If you think of streaming live then the first thing you need  is a "VERY POWERFUL PC OR LAPTOP! Next up, if you want to broadcast your home tv channels or video from your TV then you need a TV BOX (or a USB TV BOX) which is commonly available in the market. If you want to broadcast a live event which you're attending or anything that is happening then you'll need a good quality integrated camera device which is compatible with your OS and your computer. Now! That you have the hardware ready you will need to download and install "Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder" which is available for free on http://adobe.com. You will also need to install the software that came with your TV Box or the Integrated camera to make them work. The final step is that you'll need to sign up for a media publisher such as USTREAM where ur stream would be hosted. Once you do this, your stream can be viewed by end users LIVE!
